Christian Schreier
Christian Schreier ( born February 4, 1959 in Castrop -Rauxel ) is a former German football player and current coach.
Playing career
Schreier played from 1981 to 1992 for VfL Bochum, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Fortuna Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga. His greatest sporting achievements in 1988 was the victory in the UEFA Cup, as Leverkusen defeated in both finals Espanyol Barcelona. In the Bundesliga he played a total of 331 times, scoring 106 hits. In the German national team, he came again in 1984 in a friendly against Argentina used.
With the Olympic team, he participated in the Olympic Games in 1984 and 1988, with a total of 22 games (7 goals), he 's a record player that selection. In 1988 he won the bronze medal with the team.
His active career he finished 1997 with FC Wegberg -Beeck in the Oberliga Nordrhein.
Coach
After stints as an assistant coach at the clubs forward Kornharpen and 1.FC Saarbrücken Christian Schreier began his career as a coach at FC Schönberg 95 where to June 2004 he worked from July 2002. The championship in the NOFV- Oberliga Nord in the 2002/03 season was his biggest success here.
From July 2004 to April 2006 Christian Schreier was coach of the MSV Neuruppin. Under Schreier the team finished second in the 2004/05 season No. 2 in the NOFV- Oberliga Nordost and Brandenburg won the National Cup.
From 6 April 2006, he was the coach of the first FC Union Berlin. Under Schreier team MSV Neuruppin rose in the season 2005/ 06 with 5 points ahead of his former employer, the Regionalliga Nord and managed in the following season in the league.
On 21 March 2007, the first FC Union and Christian Schreier agreed at the request of coach sure to leave the really end until 2008 the current contract in the summer of 2007. The reasons were not disclosed.
In the 2010/11 season he coached the Lower Rhine division TV Jahn Hiesfeld from Dinslaken.

Manager
On February 8, 2008 Christian Schreier went to the post of manager in the football second division side SC Paderborn 07. He took over from CEO Michael Born, who was previously dismissed by the club. On 2 April 2009 he was released there.
