Christian Schulz ( born April 1, 1983 in Bassum ) is a German football player. He is since 2007 in Hannover 96 under contract.

Werder Bremen

Schulz began as a five year old with the football at TSV Bassum. At age 12, he moved to the youth department of Werder Bremen. In 2004 he was with Werder German DFB Cup champion and winner.

Schulz is considered versatile player. Despite or because of this flexibility, however, it fell Schulz hard to become the undisputed master players. Nevertheless, " Schulle " as he was affectionately called by his fans developed, a crowd favorite. The long drawn-out " Schuuulz calls " are legendary in the Weser stadium. By the end of the season 2005/ 06 he was regularly used on the left side of defense. In the season 2006/ 07 he was, however, in the shadow of regularly playing Pierre Wome.

Hannover 96

September 1, 2007 Schulz joined Hannover 96 where he signed a three-year contract with an option for another year. In Hanover, he was able to prevail as a regular player and one of the top performers of the team. In March 2011, Schulz extended his end of season expiring contract until the end of Season 2013 / 14th

National

On 16 December 2004 he gave his debut against Japan in Tokyo in the national team. He was nominated for the Confederations Cup ( FIFA Confederations Cup) in 2005. However Christian Schulz traveled due to a painful shin bruise head with bone inflammation prior to the tournament starting. Schulz was surprisingly nominated for the friendly against Denmark on 28 March 2007, but was again unable to attend due to an injury. According to the 2010 World Cup, the defensive player was called again for a friendly match against Denmark on August 6, 2010, in which he appeared as a substitute in the 78th minute. Reason, however, was also the non-consideration of most World Cup players at the start of the new season 2010/11.
