Christian Schwartz

Christian Schwartz ( born December 30, 1977 in Concord, New Hampshire ) is an American type designer. It was through his work with Erik Spiekermann known ( FF Meta Serif, FF Unit, typeface for Bosch). The font DB type which Schwartz has designed in collaboration with Spiekermann for the German railway was awarded the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Life and work

Schwartz studying Communication Design at Carnegie Mellon University. Thereafter, he worked for several months for Meta Design in Berlin. During this time he worked on the design of fonts for Volkswagen, for example. Back in the USA he worked for the Boston company, Font Bureau in 2001 before he made ​​his own.
