Christian Steinmetz

Christian Steinmetz ( born June 28, 1882 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, † June 11, 1963 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin ) was an American professional basketball player.

Christian Steinmetz was the most successful basketball player in college basketball before the First World War. After his successful time in the basketball team of the South Division High School, he played only three years for the University of Wisconsin- Madison, however, achieved in his 40 games 950 points. In the 1904/ 05 season, he succeeded in 462 of the 681 points of his team achieve, by which he was able to record 23 points more than all the opposing teams together.

1961 Steinmetz was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. On June 11, 1963, he died at the age of 80 years.
