Christian Tissier

Christian Tissier ( born February 7, 1951 in Paris ) is a senior French aikido teacher (7th Dan ) and carries the title of Shihan from the Aikikai Hombu Dojo.

Life

At the age of eleven Christian Tissier began Aikido training under Nakazono. It proved to be very talented and received in 1968 at the age of 17 years, the second Dan. At 18, he was planning a six-month stay in Japan, from which, however, were eight years. During his stay, he trained at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo -. At the same time he learned Kenjutsu and kickboxing. His principal teachers were Seigo Yamaguchi and Kisshomaru Ueshiba, the son of the founder of Aikido Morihei Ueshiba. In 1976 he returned to Paris and opened his own dojo. He is the founder of the French Aikidōverbandes FFAAA (Fédération française d' aikido, d' aikibudo et affinitaires ). In 1997, the 7th Dan Aikido, he was awarded. He has since opened a second dojo in the south of France. Since 2000 he is technical director of the Aikido Federation Germany. Almost every year there is in Paris a traditional Easter course, to the many hundreds of Aikidoka come.

Christian Tissier is the author of a number of Aikido textbooks in French, as well as publicist for instructional videos for Aikido and Kenjutsu.
