Christian Ulmer
Christian Ulmer ( born August 19, 1984 in Göppingen), called ulmi, is a German ski jumper and former nordic combined. He starts for the SC Wiesensteig. Ulmer 's sports soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Fahl.
Career
Ulmer began his international career as a Nordic skier and won at the Nordic World Ski Championships Junior 2003 together with Christian Beetz, Florian Schillinger and Tino Edelmann the gold medal in the team competition.
After he moved to the ski jumpers in the 2006/2007 season, he reached in his first World Cup competition in Kuusamo with an eighth place among the best 10 This is still his best individual placement in the World Cup. With this placement, he secured seemingly participating in the ski jumping World Cup. Due to its descending curve shape but he was finally not taken by national coach Peter Rohwein with the final squad for the World Cup in Sapporo. On 17 January 2009 he was able to win in Bischofshofen become the first and only time in his career a jump in the Continental Cup.
Currently Ulmer jumps especially in Continental Cup second-rate or third-rate in the FIS World Cup. His last jump so far in the World Cup, he completed on 9 January 2011, when he finished 38th in ski flying in Harrachov. In the Winter Universiade in January 2011 in the Turkish Erzurum he was the sixth of the large hill but once again sit up.
