Christiana Mariana von Ziegler

Christiana Mariana von Ziegler (born Christiana Mariana Romanus, born June 28, 1695 in Leipzig, † May 1, 1760 in Frankfurt an der Oder) was a German writer to the Enlightenment.

Life

Christiana Mariana von Ziegler was the first child of the lawyer Franz Conrad Romanus and his wife Christiana Maria, nee Brummer. His father was mayor of the city of Leipzig in 1701 and was one of the sponsors of Georg Philipp Telemann, who lived in Leipzig 1701-1704. The arrest of the father for money embezzlement and forgery exchange coined the just eleven years old girl, even if the reputation of the family under the custody of the father hardly suffered.
