Christiansholm

Christian Holm is a municipality in the Eider- Treene lowlands in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein and is adjacent to the King Moor and the nature reserve Hohner lake.

Geography and transport

Christian Holm is located approximately 13 km west of Rendsburg on the main road 202 eiderstedt.

History

The town was founded in 1762 as part of the Geest and colonization by Christian VII of Denmark, the then crown prince, named.

Meggerholm, originally a part of Christian Holm and still economically and shared a part of the village, now belongs to the municipality Meggerdorf in Schleswig-Flensburg district

Policy

The voters Community AKWG since the municipal election of 2008, all nine seats in the municipal council.
