Christina Liebherr

Christina Liebherr ( born March 16, 1979 in Stuttgart, Baden- Württemberg) is a Swiss show jumper.

In April 2012, she is ranked 168 in the world rankings.

She is the granddaughter of Hans Liebherr, founder of the Construction Group Liebherr.

Liebherr Riaz lives in the canton of Fribourg ( Switzerland ) and is qualified tourism professional. Since 1994, the German-born has Swiss citizenship.

Career

At the age of nine years, Liebherr learned to ride. Already in her youth, she was considered a great talent. She won three bronze medals at the Junior European Championships in 1996 and 1997. 1998 U21 European Champion with the team. In the elite category she succeeded in 2004 to LB No Mercy the breakthrough to world leaders, when the Swiss team won the Nations Cup of CSIO in Zagreb. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she reached in individual 14 and with the team to fifth place.
