Christine Ijeoma Ohuruogu MBE ( born May 17, 1984 in London) is a British sprinter. She is world champion and Olympic champion in the 400 -meter run.

Life

The daughter of Nigerian immigrants grew up in London's Stratford. She played in her youth netball, began with 16 years with the Athletics and moving in 2003 to her final round. Right away she was third. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she failed at the Junior European Championships 2003 in the semifinals, but came with the 4 x 400 - meter relay team to fourth place.

In March 2013, it won the gold medal in the 4 x 400 -meter relay at the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2013 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
