Christo Proykov

Christo Projkow ( Bulgarian Христо Пройков; born March 11, 1946 in Sofia, Bulgaria) is a bishop of the Apostolic Exarchate of Sofia, the Bulgarian Catholic Church.

Life

For Bulgarian Catholic priest Projkow was ordained on May 23, 1971 in Sofia. Coadjutor in the Apostolic Exarchate of Sofia Projkow was appointed on 18 December 1993. At the same time he was appointed Titular Bishop of Briula. The solemn ordination took place in Sofia on 6 June 1994. On September 5 1995, Christo Projkow bishop of the Greek Catholic Exarchate of Sofia.

On 15 May 2009 he was appointed Pope Benedict XVI. In addition to the consultant to the Congregation for the Oriental Churches.
