Christof Babatz ( born September 3, 1974 in Hanover ) is a German football player.

Biography

After the stations TSV Schulenburg and SV Germania grass village Christof Babatz moved in 1992 to the A- juniors from Hannover 96 Three years later, debuted the 39 -time junior national team in the 2nd Bundesliga. Prior to joining Hamburger SV to the 1997/98 season, the midfielder played 57 times for the Reds.

In Hamburg Babatz shuttled between the Regional team (27 games) and the Bundesliga team (26 games). In 2000 he moved to the first FSV Mainz 05, where he finally established himself in professional football. The Committee tremendous Babatz was instrumental in the recovery of Mainz and made possible in the last five games of the 2003/04 season with two goals and six assists the rise of the Rheinhessen in the Bundesliga. When 2:4 VfB Stuttgart Babatz scored the 1:2 standings. He is the first Bundesliga top scorer of the 05er.

After poor performances and a lengthy injury Christof Babatz lost in the season 2005/ 06 temporarily the regular place in Mainz midfielder, he reconquered in the first round in 2006/ 07. During the winter break that season Babatz moved to second division club TuS Koblenz. He could not convince and usually only came to short sessions, but secured the 33rd matchday his only goal for Koblenz in the league.

In the summer of 2007 Babatz to SV Waldhof Mannheim. The then Oberliga equipped with experienced players who brought some Bundesliga and second division experience, in order to create the rise in the new Regional. This was achieved with Babatz as captain.

In this role he was also at the forefront of a player strike in February 2009, after more than two months, wages were paid.

After his contract was terminated in 2009, he abruptly ended his active career.

From the beginning of October 2011 to January 2012 Babatz played for VfL pus button in the group League of Fulda. In January 2012 Babatz joined as player-coach for SG Kirberg / ears in the county league Limburg- Weilburg ( 8 league).
