Christof Koch

Christof Koch ( born November 13, 1956 in Kansas City ) is an American neuroscientist.

Life

In 1982 he received his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen in Nonlinear information processing. Since 2010 he is Lois and Victor Troendle Professor of Cognitive and Behavioral Biology at the California Institute of Technology. Since 2011 he held the position of Chief Science Officer at the Allen Institute for Brain Science in Seattle.

Francis Crick and Christof Koch developed a theory of the neural correlates of consciousness in the context of the binding problem.
