Christoph Budde

Christoph Budde ( born February 11, 1963 in Erkelenz, † 30 November 2009 in Mönchengladbach ) was a German football player.

Career

Budde began his career at SC 09 Erkelenz and rose with him from the circle class up in the national league on. From 1985 to 1990 he played for Borussia Mönchengladbach 42 Bundesliga games where get four goals to him. Also in the UEFA Cup against Lech Poznań, he was used. After his move to Preussen Krefeld he returned after a few more stations back to his hometown club. From 1993, Budde was also active in the Weisweiler elf tradition team of Borussia Moenchengladbach, 2002, he took over the management of the team.

In late November 2009, he was admitted with an acute infection with the H1N1 virus to the hospital and died on the night of 1 December 2009 of pneumonia.
