Christoph Lauenstein

Christoph Lauenstein ( born March 20, 1962 in Hildesheim ) is a German filmmaker.

Life

He produced films since 1980 and studied at the University of Kassel Visual Communication by Paul Driessen. As a final thesis he presented the short film a balance, in which he had along with his twin brother Wolfgang wrote the screenplay and also led camera and directing. This cinematic parable in the form of a short film has been proposed for the year 1989 for an Oscar and won a surprise as the first German production the Oscar for best animated short film.

Currently he lives and works with his brother in Hamburg. Mainly, the two animated films forth for advertising and free productions, including MTV and The Time. For the 2006 feature film, premiered The Fall director Tarsem, the brothers turned a dream sequence.
