Christoph Niemann

Christoph Niemann (born in 1970 in Waiblingen ) is a German illustrator, graphic and (co - ) author of several books.

Life

Niemann retired in 1997, after his studies in Germany, to New York City. Eleven years later, he returned with Lisa Zeitz and three sons returned to Germany and now lives in Berlin.

His work has appeared, among others, on the front pages of The New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times Magazine and American Illustration. Since 2008, Niemann writes and illustrates the blog of the New York Times Abstract City, managed since 2011 by the New York Times Magazine under the title of Abstract Sunday.

In 2012 he designed a stamp for the German Post ( MI-Nr. 2932 ).
