Christoph Saurer

Christoph Saurer (born 22 January 1986 in Upper Wart ) is an Austrian football player. Since 2012 he has been engaged at FC Wacker Innsbruck.

Life and career

Saurer came as a teenager in the Frank -Stronach Academy to Hollabrunn and in 2003 /04 graduate. After playing in the youth of Vienna Austria, he came in 2003 to FK Austria Wien amateurs, where he completed 56 games in the first division. In 2007 he was allowed four times ran in the Bundesliga for the first team of Austria. After he had fallen out of favor in Austria, he moved the beginning of the 2007/08 season newly promoted LASK Linz. In the first season in Linz Saurer came out as the regulars and completed 33 of 36 possible games. He is also in the wider circle of the Austrian national team through consistent and good. On 2 June 2010 the SK Rapid Wien announced the commitment of midfielder. Saurer received a three -year contract with an option for a further year. During the winter break 2011/2012 Saurer, who could not prevail at Rapid changed, for SC Wiener Neustadt, where he was to replace Tomas Simkovic, who had recently switched to FK Austria Wien.

His first Bundesliga goal he scored on 5 August 2007 compared SV Ried, what was the winning goal in the game at the same time. International Saurer played nine times for the U -21 and 14 times for the U -19 selection in his country. He was at the U- 17 Football Championship in 2003 with Austria third.

At the first convocation of the national team by team manager Karel Bruckner he came on 11 February 2009 in a friendly against Sweden on his international debut.

On 2 June 2010 Saurer signed a contract with SK Rapid Wien, which was dissolved after less than 40 games in the Austrian record holder. Sour Then moved to FC Wacker Innsbruck.
