Christopher Delphicus zu Dohna

Christoph Delphicus, Viscount and Earl of Dohna- Carwinden ( born June 4, 1628 Delft, † May 21 1668 in London) was a Swedish general and diplomat. He is the founder of the Swedish line of the von Dohna.

Christoph Delphicus of Dohna entered Swedish service, and was built between 1651 Lord Chamberlain to Queen Christina, in 1653 colonel of the Life Guards, 1654 Major General of Infantry and Colonel of the knights and Lehnspferde in the Duchy of Bremen, 1658 Lieutenant Governor of Bremen and Verden, 1659 General of Infantry in 1666 commanded the Swedish bearings from Bremen, field Marshal was, went in 1667 as an extraordinary ambassador for peace congress in Breda, signed at The Hague on 23 January 1668, the famous triple Alliance (see Devolution ) and died on 21 May 1668 London. Family

1658 by Dohna married Countess Anna Oxenstierna, the daughter of Gabriel Bengtsson Oxenstierna Reich Treasurer. The couple had the following children:
