Christopher Greenbury

Christopher Greenbury (* September 24 1951 in England; † January 3, 2007 in the United States) was a British cutter.

Life

His career began as an assistant editor at the beginning of the 1970s. His first film as an editor was Muppet Movie from 1979.

Filmed in 1994 film Dumb and Dumber meant the first collaboration with directors Peter Farrelly and his brother Bobby Farrelly. Other joint projects followed, such as There's Something About Mary and Shallow Hal.

Together with his British counterpart Tariq Anwar, he was nominated in 2000 for his work on Sam Mendes ' American Beauty for the Oscar. In the same year both were awarded the BAFTA Award. Greenbury had started work on American Beauty, but was then followed a film offer from Peter and Bobby Farrelly. Anwar had finished the cut at the film.
