Christopher Tellefsen

Christopher J. Tellefsen senior (* September 1957 ) is an American editor.

Life

From 1975 to 1979 Christopher J. Tellefsen studied at Cooper Union, where he originally started with photography and painting before he attended a film class and began to experiment with the medium of film. He then worked for the cutting of industrial films and documentaries of the Italian TV station Rai. After Tellefsen be tried also in the section of feature films, his first experience was sobering. It should work as an assistant for an Independent film, with Jackie Mason in the lead role, as an assistant. After the actual editor was fired, he was indeed promoted to Editor, but the film producers disappeared without a trace. But he still managed and was in the following years cut wizard by Ralph Rosenblum and Thelma Schoonmaker, before he was allowed to responsibly cut a feature film with the drama Metropolitan first time in 1990.

After Tellefsen in 2005 for Bennett Miller was editor at the award-winning drama Capote, it was Miller's follow-up, to win The Art - Moneyball, for which he was first honored with an Oscar nomination for Best Editing.
