Christopher Timothy

Christopher Timothy ( born October 14, 1940 in Bala, Gwynedd ) is a British actor, director and producer.

Timothy was born in 1940 as the son of BBC spokesman Andrew Timothy and his wife. He attended the Central School of Speech and Drama and played after this training for three years at London's Old Vic Theatre.

After appearances in individual series episodes, including at Six Dates with Barker, Van der Valk and The Liver Birds, Timothy was 1978 when Dr. James Herriot in the successful television series The Doctor and Small (All Creatures Great And Small ) to a large audience known. The series ran until 1990 1993 produced the travelogue Timothy James Herriot's Yorkshire: . The Movie. In the years from 2000 to 2006 Timothy was back as an actor in a series before the camera and embodied Dr. Brendan ' Mac ' McGuire in the British soap opera Doctors. In some episodes of the series Timothy took over the government.

Timothy was during the filming of The Doctor and Small for a while with Carol Drinkwater romantically involved, who played the role of Helen Herriot. Since Timothy was still married at the time, the affair of the British tabloid media has hyped up into a scandal. After public hostility Drinkwater left the series at the end of the third season.

Timothy has two daughters and four sons.
