Christopher Trimmel in 2009

Christopher Trimmel (born 24 February 1987 in Oberpullendorf ) is an Austrian football player. The acting as a midfielder Trimmel plays since 2009 for the SK Rapid Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Career

Trimmel began his career at UFC Manner der Rabnitz in Burgenland. In 2006 he moved to ASK Horitschon - Unterpetersdorf, a year later it went into the first team, where he scored seven goals in 15 games.

In 2008 he was commissioned by the Austrian giants Rapid Vienna under the contract, where it was used mainly in the amateurs. His debut in the Bundesliga was Trimmel 5 April 2009 against SK Austria Kärnten. The striker came off the bench for the Croats Nikica Jelavic in the 88th minute. Rapid won the game 4-2. Four other missions followed this season.

In the UEFA Europa League first leg against KS Vllaznia Shkoder Trimmel scored his first competitive goal for Rapid. On August 2, 2009, he succeeded against Austria Kärnten in six minutes a hat-trick. This was after a hat-trick of Hans Krankl the second fastest in the history of the Austrian Bundesliga. A few days later, he scored in the third qualifying round of the Europa League against APOP Kinyras Peyias in the extension of the decisive goal to ascend.

His debut for the Austrian national team celebrated Trimmel on 12 August 2009 in a friendly against Cameroon by Substitutes in 67 minutes.

For the 2014/15 season Trimmel switches to 1 FC Union Berlin.
