Christos Kostis

Christos Kostis (Greek Χρήστος Κωστής, born January 15, 1972 in Thessaloniki ) is a former Greek football player. In his time he was one of the best Greek striker and is known as a great talent.

Club career

Kostis started his career with Iraklis Thessaloniki. He was part of the first team in 1989 and became one of the best strikers in the club. Before that he played in youth of the association.

In the summer of 1994, AEK Athens and Olympiakos Piraeus fought for the signature of the then 22 -year-old. Olympiakos Iraklis and agreed on a transfer fee. While Kostis waited for the plane that would take him to his new club to sign the contract, AEK Athens made ​​a better deal and got him yet. In his new club sat Kostis his good performances continued and won multiple titles.

In 1998 he moved to RSC Anderlecht. But he could never quite recover from an old injury he had pulled to 1997. Two years later he returned to AEK Athens. He graduated a few games, but the days of his glorious career was over. From 2005 he was still playing for Alki Larnaca in Cyprus.

From 2006 to 2007 he made his career in South Africa end with Ajax Cape Town.

National
