Chronaxie

As chronaxie is defined as the minimum time over which an appeal with double Rheobasestärke must flow, just to look even more arousing. In contrast, the Hauptnutzzeit refers to the minimum time that must flow a current in ( easier) Rheobasestärke to trigger an action potential. Both chronaxie and the Hauptnutzzeit are use times. The length of time required at double strength for contraction so it is measured. The term is used in physiotherapy at the low-frequency pulse current therapy.

An excitation can be connected to an excitable structure ( for example, peripheral nerve or muscle) created by electrical stimuli. Is the magnitude of the current is sufficiently high, an action potential is triggered. Irritating you but low, there is no response of the structure ( the stimulus is " subliminal ").

To describe the responsiveness of such a fabric precisely, one uses the terms rheobase and chronaxie, which mediate the relationship of required stimulus intensity and stimulus time.
