Chronica XXIV Generalium

The Chronica XXIV Generalium Ordinis Fratrum Minorum ( Chronicle of the XXIV General ( minister ) of the Order of Friars Minor ) is a medieval, written in Latin chronicle of the Franciscan Order. It was about 1370 probably written by the Friar Minor Arnaud de Sarrant, its authorship is according to recent findings, for example, after which Luetzel Schwab, doubted. The chronicle tells the story of the Order of the foundation by St. Francis of Assisi (1210 ) to Leonardo Rossi ( 1373-1378 ), the 24th General Minister of the Order, if Francis is counted as the first. In the chronicle various miracles ( miraculum ) and martyrdoms are described in some detail, which is why it was received over the centuries intensively by historians of the Order and cited.
