CHU (radio station)


CHU is the callsign of a Canadian time signal transmitter.

He sends time signals on the shortwave frequencies 3.330 MHz, 7.850 MHz and 14.670 MHz. Since 1 January 2009, at 0000 UTC, the clock frequency is used 7,850 MHz instead of 7,335 MHz. As justification for the frequency change of frequent disturbances were reported by radio stations.

The time signals are distributed via telephone message, radio ( Radio Canada ) and Internet ( Network Time Protocol).
