Chuck Kobasew

Nicolas James " Chuck" Kobasew ( born April 17, 1982 in Osoyoos, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since October 2013, he plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League for the position of right winger.

Career

The 1.88 m wide winger began his career in the team of Boston College in the play mode of the NCAA before he selected during the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 as 14th in the first round by the Calgary Flames ( drafted ) was. In the final series of the NCAA Ice Hockey Championship 2001, the Frozen Four, Kobasew was voted Most Valuable Player.

His first NHL bets graduated from the right shooter in the 2002/03 season, the lockout of 2004/ 05 he spent at the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League. In 79 games Kobasew scored 75 points and was during the season of new captain of the Lock Monsters. In addition, he was appointed to the Canadian team at the AHL All-Star Classic. July 1, 2011 Kobasew signed a contract for two years with the Colorado Avalanche. After this contract had expired, he was engaged by the Pittsburgh Penguins in October 2013 as a free agent for one year.

Internationally

For the Canadian Junior National Team Chuck Kobasew denied the U-20 World Championship in 2002, in seven games, he scored five goals and one assists.
