Chuck Loeb

Samuel Charles "Chuck" Loeb ( born December 7, 1955 in Nyack, New York) is an American jazz guitarist, composer, arranger and music producer.

Loeb grew up in Nyack (NY ), a suburb of New York. He's been playing guitar he was 11, discovered jazz at the age of 16 and took lessons from Jim Hall, Pat Metheny and Joe Puma. From 1974 to 1976 he studied at the Berklee College of Music. Among other things, he was in 1979 a member of the band of Stan Getz and 1984-1987 at Steps Ahead with Michael Brecker, Michael Mainieri, Peter Erskine and Victor Bailey. Since 1988 he has been a solo artist on the go and can be heard as a studio musician on numerous international publications, including also for the German artist Thomas Quasthoff and Till Bronner. In 1994, Loeb with Wolfgang Haffner fusion band Metro. After the departure of Larry Carlton Loeb replaced in 2010 with this internationally renowned Smooth Jazz band Fourplay, with whom he is very intense on tour since 2010.

He is married to Spanish singer Carmen Cuesta - Loeb since 1979 and has two daughters. His daughter Lizzy Loeb is a singer- songwriter.
