The Chugach State Park is in the western foothills of the Chugach Mountains east of Anchorage situated state park in the U.S. state of Alaska.

The park was founded in 1970 and with an area of ​​2004 km ² is the third largest state park in the United States. Named the park is the " Chugach ", a group of Pacific Eskimos who lived in Prince William Sound. The Seward Highway from Anchorage to Seward runs along the Turnagain Arm on the southern edge of the Chugach State Park and is in this area listed as a National Scenic Byway and reported as " All- American Road ".
