Chun Mee

Chun Mee is a popular green tea from China.

Chun Mee is strong and slightly smoky and generally more acidic and less sweet than other green teas. The infusion has a very bright color.

Originally, the tea was grown only in the Chinese province of Jiangxi. Today, however, also be located in other regions corresponding regions, for example in Taiwan.

During production, the tea leaves are first steamed, then dried in the sun and withered left. They are then rolled and thereby slightly curved, so that their typical shape, which is reminiscent of small eyebrows and from which the name of the tea is derived. The word Chun Mee ( Zhenmei in Pinyin) means " precious eyebrow ".

Denomination

The Chun Mee tea is divided into several varieties and types with numbers. Some examples are: 41022, 4011, 9371, 8147, 9367, 9366, 3008 or 3009, the number 41,022 in this case represents the highest quality.. In 8147 the number of varieties of tea consists almost entirely of broken leaves.
