Church and Wellesley is an urban district of the Canadian city of Toronto.

Geography

Church and Wellesley is limited as follows:

  • South of Gerrard Street
  • West of Yonge Street
  • North of Charles Street
  • East of the Jarvis Street

The eponymous streets Church Street and Wellesley Street intersect in the city district.

Sights and culture

In the Church and Wellesley district is home to many pubs, bars and shops that are aimed primarily at a gay audience. Every year, on a weekend will take place in this part of Toronto's parade on Christopher Street Day and the Pride Week, which now attracts thousands of visitors with a mix of information stands of same-sex groups, show- stages and snacks and stalls and has developed into a tourist attraction.
