Chvalčov

Chvalčov ( German Chwaltschow, formerly Chwalczow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers southeast of Bystřice pod Hostynem and belongs to Okres Kroměříž.

Geography

Chvalčov extends at the northern foot of the host 's mountains on the edge of Podbeskydská pahorkatina ( Vorbeskidenhügelland ) in the valley of the river Bystřička. The village lies on the edge of the Natural Park Hostýnské mountains. To the north runs the railway line Hulin - Valašské Meziříčí, the nearest railway station is located two and a half Loukov kilometers north of the village. In the north, the Kelčský Javorník the Hadí Kopec raises the Kozinec ( 479 m), northeast (865 m), to the east of the Javorník ( 799 m), southeast (600 m), the Goralica (716 m), Čerňava ( 844 m), Smrdutá (750 m) and the Obřany (704 m), south of the Skalny (708 m) and Hostýnské ( 734 m ) and the southwest Bedlina ( 455 m).

Neighboring towns are Nový Dvůr Libosváry, V Revíře and Loukov in the north, Rajnochovice, Rosošné and Kosovy in the east, Vicanov, Tesák and Na Valaškách the southeast, Na pasekách, Hostýnské and Rusava in the south, Austerlitz pod Hostynem and Lázně in the southwest, Vinohrádek in west and Chvalčova Lhota and Mrlínek in the northwest.

History

Chvalčov lies at the foot of Hostýnské whose settlement can be proved by archaeological finds since the Upper Paleolithic. In Celtic times originated on the mountain mighty fortifications with walls. During the invasion of the Golden Horde legends should be fled to the residents of the area in 1241 on the Hostýnské.

The first written mention of Chwalzow took place in 1369 in Brno Landtafel in connection with the sale of belonging to the castle Obřany village Lhotka by Boček I of Podiebrad to Heralt of Bučovice. In 1447 the city was designated as Chwaliczow and belonged to the rule Bystřice. 1555 acquired Přemek of Víckov the rule with all accessories. Him first heir William of Víckov, then his sister Bohunka. They transferred ownership in 1613 to her husband Václav Bitovska of Bítov. This fled after the Battle of White Mountain, from Moravia and was sentenced in 1622 in absentia to loss of the neck, of honor and of wealth. New owner of the domain was Zdeněk Vojtěch of Lobkowicz, whose son sold it in 1650 to Johann Anton von Rott Valley. This united them with Holešov to a great dominion. During the Thirty Years' War, the area was initially devastated by the Swedes; after they leave, it came in the adjacent Wallachia, to rebellion against recatholicisation. As a result, began the decline of the whole area. In the inventory of the rule are Bystřice 1674 for Chwalcžowa Lhotta and Chwalcžow total of 35 properties reported four of which were desolate. The inhabitants of both villages were obliged to labor services in the stately hop garden in Prusinovice. In 1763, the family of the Counts of red valley died out in the male line; in the breakdown of the rule Holešov - Bystřice among the heirs Chwalcžow was again submissive after Bystřice. 1789 was the ownership of Franz Anton von Rott valley son, Count della Rovere di Monte l' Abbate and 1804 inherited his nephew, Johann Nepomuk Graf von Wengersky that rule. The oldest town seal dates from 1820, it bears the inscription PECZET OBCZE LHOTI A CHWALCZOWSKI. At the time, the place out of 52 estate. As of 1827 the rule Bystřice belonged to the Counts Laudon. 1845, the village was called Chwalcžowa. Until the mid- 19th century, the village remained subservient always Bystřice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Chwalcžowa / Chwalczow formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Holle show. Today's local name Chvalčov is in use since 1872. North between 1886 and 1888 was the village of the railway line from Bystřice pod Hostýnem after Valašské Meziříčí. On August 19, 1951, the incorporation of Chvalčova Lhota took place. After the abolition of Okres Holešov the community in 1960 associated with the Okres Kroměříž. In 1976 Chvalčov was incorporated into Bystřice pod Hostýnem. Since 28 February 1990, the municipality consists again. In 2009, the gymnasium was inaugurated.

Coat of arms

Chvalčov leads a coat of arms and banners. It shows on a blue background with a silver three- mountain symbolizing the mountains surrounding the city Javorník, Obřany and Svatý Hostýnské. The blue color stands for both the river Bystřička as well as for the Virgin Mary. The lily represents the virginity of Mary dar. In the field below symbolize two red bars and the places Chvalčov Chvalčova Lhota.
