Ciara Michel (born 2 July 1985 in Taunton ) is a British volleyball player.

Career

Michel is the daughter of an American basketball player and a British woman of Irish descent. At school, she wanted to be a cheerleader first, but decided for volleyball. In Florida, they played in a team with her sister. From 2003 she studied at the University of Miami psychology and played in the local Team of the Hurricanes. In 2007 she went to Australia at the University of Melbourne. In the meantime, was the middle blocker, which has in addition to the British and U.S. also an Australian citizen, for six months active at Monash University in Melbourne suburb of Clayton. Because they wanted to recommend in London at a European club for the British national in view of the upcoming Olympic tournament in 2012, Michel moved in 2010 to the German Bundesliga side Alemannia Aachen. In May 2011, she celebrated in Lima her debut in the national team. At the 2012 Olympic Games in their own country, she took ninth place. She then moved to VT Aurubis Hamburg. In 2013 she went to Italy to Yamamay Busto Arsizio.
