Ciaran Clark

Ciaran Clark ( born September 26, 1989 in Harrow, London) is an English footballer of Irish descent, who is currently under contract at Aston Villa.

Career

Aston Villa

At age eleven, he began playing in the youth academy of Aston Villa. He led the U18 team as captain and won with his team the Premier Academy League 2007 /08. The League group you clearly won with 68 points and moved along with the U18 team of FC Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland AFC in the final round one. After Nathan Delfouneso scored the 1-0 win against Arsenal in the semi-finals, was beaten in the final by the gates of James Collins and Chris Herd, the team of Manchester City 2-0.

In the 2008 /09 season, he landed a place in the senior squad. In the third round of the UEFA Cup in 2008/ 09 he made it in the return match against CSKA Moscow on the bench, but was an unused substitute. Aston was eliminated in the third Rubde. Having got no match practice in the pros, he was moved to the reserve team. In this he rose to captain and won the Premier Reserve League South and defeated in the final the winner of the Premier Reserve League North, the AFC Sunderland.

For the 2009/10 season he again took part in the preparation of professionals in one of the Peace Cup 2009 won when one of the Italian top club Juventus defeated in the final 4-3 on penalties. On 30 August 2009, he graduated from the 2-0 win over Fulham his first ever Premier League game at all. After injury-related loss of central defender Curtis Davies tribe, he has played with Carlos Cuéllar in defense. After a good performance, which he even with a headed goal could have been crowned, he was chosen by the BBC into the youngster team of the week. Although he was ousted by the new additions James Collins and Richard Dunne on the bench, he decided to give up his seat without a fight. In November 2009 he signed a new contract, which is valid until 2012.

In the 2010/11 season he played in the first two league games against West Ham United and Newcastle United from the start. Also following League Cup game against Blackburn Rovers he played in the starting lineup. After a few games as a substitute, he returned to Birmingham City back in the starting eleven and remained precarious due to the injury situation two more games this. On 27 November at the 2:4 home defeat against Arsenal scored both goals for Aston Villa.

In the 2012/13 season he was expelled after a foul on Nikica Jelavic the first time of the field. On December 8, 2012, he led a 0-0 draw against Stoke City after the substitution of Gabriel Agbonlahor his team for the first time as captain.

National

Clark went through the U -17 and U-18 national teams of England, where he came up with eight inserts. In the U-19, he completed six games, including three in the qualification as part of the U-19 European Football Championships 2008. He scored in the 6-0 qualifying win over Romania a goal. He qualified as group winners, the final round but missed with an ankle injury. In 2009 he was appointed to the U -20 squad, was given the captain's armband in his second game and scored his first goal ever in a friendly match against Italy.

He also has the option for the Irish national football team, as his parents and grandparents come from Ireland. In September 2010, the Football Association of Ireland tried to poach him. For a league match against Blackburn Rovers was sent the chief scout and U -21 coach Don Givens Ireland to more accurately observe him.

On October 5, Clark announced that he would want to play in the event of a nomination for the Irish national football team. Here also his teammate Richard Dunne should have conveyed between him, the League and the scouts.

On November 12, he was nominated for the friendly match against Norway, but not used. On 8 February 2011 he played at the Aviva Stadium against Wales his first senior international for Ireland. On February 6, 2013 followed in the international match against Poland his first international goal.
