CIAT group

CIAT S. A. ( for Compagnie Industrielle d' Applications Thermiques ) is a French manufacturer in the field of air-conditioning technology, headquartered in Culoz ( Ain department, between Lyon and Geneva).

The company originally began in the field of heat exchangers and has become active in the areas of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems over time. In 2010, CIAT counted over 2,200 employees ( 1,500 of them in Rhones- Alpes and 400 in Andalusia) and achieved a turnover of 272 million euros. The Group has 9 plants, of which 6 in France (3 in the Rhones -Alpes Department ), and one each in Spain, Italy and China. Through its network of subsidiaries and distributors CIAT operates in over 70 countries, including in France, Spain, Belgium, the countries of the Maghreb.

History

The establishment of CIAT with Jean Falconnier as president took place in 1934; In 1984, his son, Jean -Louis Falconnier, the management of the Group. After the death of Jean -Louis Falconnier, took over his brother, Jean -Pierre Falconnier the line.
