CIBK-FM

CIBK -FM ( 98-5 Virgin, also: Vibe 98.5 ) is a private radio station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The station is operated by Astral Media and broadcasts on the 98.5 MHz FM with a power of 100 kW.

The transmitter received the transmission authorization by the competent authority in 2001 and began official broadcasting in 2002. Initially, he sent a mixture of R & B and hip hop, which resulted in a direct competition with the transmitter CKIS ( KISS 96.9 ). The rivalry lasted about a month, then decided CKIS ( KISS 96.9 ) to change the broadcasting system.
