Cieszyn Silesia Euroregion

The euro region Těšínské Slezsko is a euro region in the northeastern border between the Czech Republic and Poland.

The area covers about 1400 km ² and 680,000 inhabitants. The biggest cities are on the Polish side Jastrzębie Zdrój ( Bad König - Jastrzemb Dorff ) and on the Czech side Havířov.

It consists largely of the historical region of Silesia -Teschen (without Bielitz Friedeck and some villages which belong to the euro region Beskid ). Furthermore belonging are Jastrzębie Zdrój and the community Godów.

These euro region was founded on 22 April 1998.
