Cilentan Coast
The Costiera Cilentana ( German ) local community of the coastal municipalities Cilento is an association of Italian municipalities listed below from the Gulf of Salerno and the Gulf of Policastro (Campania ) with the aim to promote the conservation and improve water quality steadily.
The community is working on this together with the Italian environmental organization Legambiente, as well as the eco - label Blue Flag, which is awarded every year to beaches and marinas, where in the previous season a consistently high standard of bathing water quality has been observed.
Many of the places are as much a part of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano.
