The Cimatron Ltd.. is a manufacturer of CAD / CAM software with headquarters in Tel Aviv in Israel.

Cimatron was founded in 1982. Have subsidiaries in China, France, Great Britain, India, Italy, the United States, South Korea, Japan and Germany in Ettlingen (headquarters) as well as offices in Nuremberg, Hamm and Ismaning near Munich. More than 50 employees develop the CAD / CAM software product line CimatronE or its predecessor CimatronIT in Israel, Germany and Russia. The company sells these products through 35 distributors. More than half of the turnover resulting from the service business and the software license fees of approximately 8,500 customers in Europe are based to a large extent. Revenue from license fees declined due to increased competition. The development of CAD / CAM technology was funded by the Israeli government.

The Company's shares are traded on the NASDAQ SmallCap Market in New York under the symbol CIMT. Each about 33 % of the shares are owned by the Koonras Ltd.. , Tel- Aviv and DBSI Investments Ltd.. , Herzliya.

Products

CimatronE is sold from September 2001 CAD / CAM software solution for the tool and mold making and the manufacturing industry. The software is used for small and medium-sized companies in the automotive and aircraft industries for CAD development of plastic injection products and tools as well as for the control of CNC machine tools. Is also offered for a customized shoe manufacture version of the software.

The software has interfaces for neutral file formats and file formats from other manufacturers ( ACIS, STEP 203/214, VDAFS, IGES, Parasolid, Catia V4/V5, ProE neutral, DWG / DXF).
