Cindy Nelson
Cynthia Lee " Cindy " Nelson ( born August 19, 1955 in Lutsen, Minnesota) is one of the most successful American alpine skier interior.
In the World Cup, she celebrated six World Cup victories: Three in the downhill and one each in the combination, in the Giant Slalom and Super -G. On the descent, Nelson was the most successful, not less than 16 podium ranks they achieved during their careers.
At the Olympic Games 1976 in Innsbruck, she won the bronze medal in the downhill. In the World Ski Championships 1982 in Schladming - again on the descent - they won the silver medal behind the Canadian Gerry Sorensen. 1985 Nelson ended her career.
