Cinte Tesino

Cinte Tesino is a municipality located in the Trentino region of Trentino -Alto Adige with 410 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012).

Geography

The town is located 39 km east of Trento in Tesinotal ( Bassa Valsugana e Tesino ), a Untertal Valsugana. He is part of the valley community Comunità Valsugana e Tesino and lies on the River Gringno and at the foot of Monte Mezza.

The place has no further districts.

Adjacent communities are Canal San Bovo, Castello Tesino, Grigno Lamon (BL), Pieve Tesino and Scurelle.

History

The proximity to the Roman road Via Claudia Augusta built around 50 BC settlements and castles in the area. Here is the place belonged to the Regio X Venetia et Histria ( 10 Veneto and Istria) of Regioni dell'Italia augustea. Since the year 750 the town was under the Bishop of Feltre. 1810 lost its independence and the place was the district of Castello Tesino, which, however, only until 1818 remained valid and the place became independent again. At Pieve Tesino the place in 1928, but from 1935 was one with its own administration. 1947, the site was again separated from Pieve and has since been an independent municipality.

  • Chiesa di San Lorenzo Martire, dedicated to the local patron saint church, which was built in the 15th century and was restored in 1876 after a fire. The last restoration took place in the 1950 's.
  • Arboreto del Tesino, 2002 eröffneter Plant Park in the Colle Dane river Rio Solcena.
