Cinzio Passeri Aldobrandini

Cinzio Passeri Aldobrandini (* 1551 or 1560; † January 1, 1610 in Rome ) was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

His cardinalate, which he received in 1593, he owed his uncle, Pope Clement VIII, who also came from the Florentine noble family of Aldobrandini. Together with his cousin, Cardinal Pietro Aldobrandini he wrestled to the influential role of Kardinalnepoten. Cinzio was regarded as formed, full of spirit and for several years was in the service of the 1592 elected to the papacy uncle. However, the politically skillful Pietro Aldobrandini could oust him and took within the Curia true the more influential position. The Aldobrandini Wedding, an important Roman fresco, was the first owner named after him.
