Ciprian Marica ( 2011)

Ciprian Andrei Marica [' tʃiprian an'drɛ ʲ ' marika ] (born 2 October 1985 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player.

Clubs

Marica started his career at Dinamo Bucharest. At the age of 18 he joined the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, for whom he also played in the Champions League.

In July 2007, he joined the then German champions VfB Stuttgart. The contract had a term of five years. He had on 10 August 2007, he scored against FC Schalke 04, his first goal in the 1st Bundesliga on 24 November 2007 away game against Eintracht Frankfurt His Bundesliga debut. On 27 November 2007 against the Rangers he scored his first Champions League goal for VfB Stuttgart. Lucescu's successor Victor Piţurcă then decided, however, for Razvan Rat as captain.
