Circuit des Ardennes (cycling)

The Circuit des Ardennes (French: tour of the Ardennes ) is a bicycle race in northeastern France. The small tour goes through the Ardennes department in the French Ardennes. For the first time the race was held in 1930. After that, it did not happen 20 years from 1951 to 1958 and was a professional race and from 1959 to 1963 an amateur race. The next 13 years was host break. Then the tour from 1977 to 1988 was again a race for amateurs. After another eleven years without racing discharge, it was held from 2000 to 2004 for professionals in the category Elite 2. Since 2005 it is part of the UCI Europe Tour and has the 2.2 category.
