Circuito de Monsanto

Monsanto Park was a 5.440 km long race track near Lisbon, Portugal. There, the Grand Prix of Portugal in 1959 discharged.

History

The race track is located in the Parque Florestal de Monsanto was very difficult to drive. The course involved many different road surfaces and even the crossing of tram tracks was part of their journey by were held from 1954 to 1959 numerous races, including the Grand Prix of Portugal, the Briton Stirling Moss decided for themselves. He won the race at dusk, since it was launched late in the day to avoid the intense sun during the day.
