Citharoides macrolepis

The lyre flatfish ( Citharidae ) ( Latin: cithara = zither) are a family of flatfish ( Pleuronectiformes ). They live in the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific from Japan to Australia.

Features

The species of the family reach lengths of 14-36 inches. Your uniform pelvic fins are supported by a fin spine and five soft rays. They have a short fin base. The pectoral fins are well developed. The beginning of the dorsal fin is located at the height of the rear of the blind side of the nostril. The anus is on the eye side. The gills Reuse rays are not joined at the base. A lateral line is present on both sides.
