City of Arts and Sciences

The Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias ( cat. / Eq. Ciutat de les Arts i de les Ciències, dt City of Arts and Sciences ) is a cultural and architectural buildings and park complex in Valencia, Spain. This modern landmark of the city lies in the dried-out riverbed of the Turia. The complex was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela and inaugurated with the opening of L' Hemisféric on 16 April 1998.
