City of Blue Mountains

Blue Mountains is located in the Sydney Surrounds, the directly adjacent to the city of Sydney area, and is about 100 kilometers to the west from the city center. The area includes 50 districts and towns, including Bell, Blackheath, Blaxland, Faulconbridge, Glenbrook, Hazelbrook, Katoomba, Lawson, Leura, Linden, Medlow Bath, Mount Victoria, Mount Wilson, Springwood, Warrimoo, Wentworth Falls and Woodford. The seat of the City Council is located in the town of Katoomba in the west of the LGA where about 18,000 inhabitants.

Named the City to a part of the Great Dividing Range, the Blue Mountains, which run parallel to the coast of northern inland from Sydney to south.

Management

The Blue Mountains City Council has twelve members who are elected by the residents of the four Wards (three Councillor of First, Second, Third and Fourth Ward ). These four districts are set independently of the villages. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.

The Korowal School of Hazelbrook has a school partnership with primary school in Mulo ( East Timor).
