The seat of the City Council is located in the district of Launceston in the south west of the LGA where about 2900 inhabitants.

Management

The Launceston City Council has twelve members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and ten aldermen are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Launceston is not divided into districts.
