Liverpool City is a Local Government Area ( LGA) in the Australian state of New South Wales. Liverpool is part of the metropolis of Sydney, capital of New South Wales. The area is 305 km ² and has about 180,000 inhabitants.

Liverpool is about 25 to 50 km west of the city center in Outer Sydney. The area includes 58 districts: Anzac Village, Ashcroft, Austral, Busby, Carnes Hill, Cartwright, Casula, Casula Mall Shopping Centre, Cecil Hills, Chatham Village, Chipping Norton, Cross Roads, Edmondson, Edmondson Park, Green Valley, Greendale, Greenway Park, Hammondville, Hammondville East, Hargrave Park, Heckenberg, Hillview, Hinchinbrook, Holsworthy, Horningsea Park, Hoxton Park, Ingleburn Village, Kookaburra, Liverpool, Liverpool Military Camp, Liverpool North, Liverpool South, Liverpool West, Liverpool Westfield, Lurnea, Middleton Grange, Miller, Moorebank, Moorebank Village, Pleasure Point, Prestons, Sadleir, Voyager Point, Warwick Farm, Wattle Grove, West Hoxton, and parts of Badgerys Creek, Bringelly, Cecil Park, Denham Court, Ingleburn, Ingleburn Military Camp, Kemps Creek, Leppington, Luddenham, Mount Pritchard, Rossmore and Wallacia. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in the district of Liverpool in the north- east of the LGA.

Management

By 2004, the Liverpool City Council consisted of eleven members, ten Councillor and Chairman and Mayor ( Mayor ).
